Five classification methods of road cargo transport vehicles
Road cargo transport vehicle types are divided according to the principles and order of total mass, structure, type of transported goods, vehicle power, and vehicle type. One to five categories can be selected for combination.
1. According to total mass, road cargo transport vehicles can be divided into heavy, medium, light and micro. From micro to heavy, the main difference is the maximum design gross weight (GVW) of the vehicle itself.
2. According to structure, road cargo transport vehicles can be divided into fence type, van type, warehouse type, flat type, dump type, tank type, vehicle transportation, container transportation, low flat type, closed type and special structure.
3. According to the type of transported goods, road cargo transport vehicles can be divided into general cargo transport, large object transport, dangerous goods transport, and special cargo transport (container transport, refrigerated fresh-keeping transport, tank container transport, vehicle transport).
4. According to vehicle power, road cargo transportation vehicles can be divided into gasoline, diesel, gaseous fuel, dual-purpose fuel, dual-fuel, pure electric, hybrid, and fuel cell.
5. According to the type of vehicle, road cargo transport vehicles can be divided into truck, semi-trailer tractor,
Tractor Truck, semi-trailer, center axle trailer, rigid rod trailer,
Drawbar Trailer, and semi-trailer tractor trailer.
